A few days ago, something very tragic happened to one of the
players on my basketball team. She wasn’t at basketball or school the one day,
and we all wondered. After basketball practice that day, my coach told us about
the very sad situation. One of the girls’ older sister was in the hospital. The
next day after practice, we found out that she passed away. We were all in
shock because we couldn’t imagine what she is going through, losing a sibling
so suddenly. We all sent out our thoughts and prayers with signing a card to
the family. Also, we will be getting flowers to give to the family, showing
that we are here for them. We have preached all year that we always stick
together as a team, no matter what. In this situation, we let our teammate know
that we had her back through it all. She isn’t in this alone.
