This year I am on a new softball team. I am a player on the
Clarence Red Devils. One of the positions I play is the catcher. Last week, one
of the pitchers on my team was going to a gym to pitch. Something came up and
she didn’t have anyone catching for her at the gym. The lessons started at
eight. She asked me at seven to catch for her at eight. It was very last minute
and I was very exhausted from the day. However, I told her I would because I knew
how much she would appreciate it. So, my dad and I drove to Clarence Middle School
to catch for her. When I got there, it was quite a cool surprise. I found out
that it was a special pitching clinic. Pitchers cannot just go to these things,
they have to be invited. It was pretty nifty. I felt honored for her to ask me
to catch for her at this lesson.
